Uluwatu

Uluwatu is a break almost at the end of the Bukit peninsula. this break is a couple minutes down the road from Padang Padang. Uluwatu is an open ocean swell, so it gets pretty big. When Kuta Reef has waves 2-3ft Uluwatu has waves from 5-6ft, Uluwatu gets the biggest waves in the whole of bali. Uluwatu is not a suitable place for beginners, this break is more for advanced surfers, a lot of surfers who come from overseas normally go and surf Uluwatu if they are god enough. Normally people/tourists come to watch the surf at Uluwatu, and when it gets big, its pretty impressive. People watch the surf from the top of the cliff. to get into the water, you would have to walk down the cliff into a cave which leads out into the water. At high tide the cave is almost full of water, depending on the current and size of the waves, when its low tide, lots of people go down for a swim. there are lots of bars and restaurants that look over down at the surf. When you look down at the surf, there are 4 breaks and they each have there own name: Racetracks, Temples, Outside corner and Bombes. This is a world class waves and the crowds in uluwatu get up to the number's between 50 and 100 or more!!! Its a fun but its a heavy wave and it gets really big
